Predictive           Preventative           Remediation           Restoration

So what is Thermography?

Infrared energy is invisible to the human eye -- but infrared energy is emitted by all objects at ordinary temperatures.  Thermography or thermal imaging makes thermal information visible so that distinguishing heat patterns or temperature changes can be identified.  This non-invasive, non-destructive testing method is known as Infrared Thermography. These temperature changes and heat patterns can then be measured to discover problems and reveal building, equipment or environmental flaws which, left uncorrected, can lead to expensive damage or equipment failure. This type of predictive and preventative forecasting can prevent costly downtime and allow you to monitor developing problems so maintenance and repairs can be scheduled during planned downtimes or when budgets are available rather than costly, unforeseen emergencies.

This is one of the reasons that Thermal Imaging is often referred to as the first defense in predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance or building restoration and remediation projects.  Thermal Imagers --- often referred to as infrared imagers, thermal cameras or infrared cameras -- capture fully radiometric infrared images using state-of-the-art infrared technology and computer software providing us with a powerful, versatile and highly accurate diagnostic method for uncovering a wide range of problems before damage or failure occurs.

Thermal Imaging of Ohio's sensitive equipment can detect temperature differences as small as 0.1 degree Celius and display the data visually.  Documentation of field analysis, data interpretation, cost-effective solutions and recommendations for corrective action are also provided by Thermal Imaging of Ohio.   Did you know that Infrared imaging is also used for search and rescue missions?

So what are the benefits of performing infrared inspections?

The primary benefits of using Infrared for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance include:

                Increased safety

                Increased system reliability

Reduce costly unscheduled downtime or outages

Reduce repair costs, particularly prior to failure

                Reduce maintenance costs

                Improve production rates and quality
